Workplace Collective Get in touch
who we are

Two people, one shared vision for supporting businesses and the people behind them.

Workplace Collective was built on a shared vision between Nikohl + Amber, recognizing a gap in the community for a true one-stop shop for business support. What started as bookkeeping and administrative services has grown into a collaborative, team-based approach supporting businesses in a more complete way.

We understand the challenges of running a business while managing everyday life, and provide reliable, flexible support that feels like an extension of your team. Alongside bookkeeping and virtual assistant services, our consulting work supports both business operations and the responsibilities that come with them, helping create systems, structure, and clarity that work in real life.

At our core, we believe in strong relationships, practical problem solving, and supporting people first. Our focus is on helping you move forward with confidence, while we keep your day-to-day running smoothly and your systems working the way they should.

Nikohl

managing partner

Nikohl brings over 25 years of experience in customer service, with a strong background in management, administration, and client relations. Her career has taken her through the telecommunications and insurance industries, as well as Early Childhood Education, giving her a well-rounded perspective on both business operations and people.

Her interest in bookkeeping developed through hands-on experience, leading her to further her education and step into a dual role supporting both financials and day-to-day operations. She has worked closely with service-based businesses, managing bookkeeping and administrative functions while creating systems, improving workflows, and bringing structure to busy environments.

Over time, Nikohl’s work has evolved into a systems-focused approach that connects the financial side of a business with its daily operations. She has a natural ability to step into a business, understand how it functions, and identify the root of challenges. Her focus is on creating solutions that are clear, manageable, and built to last.

Through her work with Workplace Collective, Nikohl has gained valuable insight working alongside a wide range of clients. She is known for her attention to detail and her ability to create practical tools that support both businesses and families. Her approach is steady and supportive, helping clients feel more in control without added overwhelm.

Nikohl also brings a unique perspective through her work with families, particularly from a neurodiverse lens. As a parent, she understands the importance of creating systems and routines that are flexible and realistic for everyday life, with a focus on reducing friction and improving flow. She supports families in setting meaningful goals for their children while guiding parents through approaches that feel manageable, validating, and aligned with their overall family life.

At the core of Nikohl’s work is a relationship-first approach. She values clear communication, thoughtful problem solving, and creating systems that support both the business and the people behind it. Her goal is to help clients feel confident in their operations, with structure that truly works for them.

Outside of work, Nikohl enjoys time with her children, their dogs, and friends, embracing a family-focused life on Vancouver Island, where she’s always up for a good board game and makes a sushi bake that never lasts long.

Amber

MANAGING PARTNER

Amber is a Small Business Consultant and Child Care Specialist with over 25 years of experience supporting families, organizations, and entrepreneurs across British Columbia and Canada.

As an Early Childhood Educator and former Executive Director of a large licensed child care centre, Amber has spent her career building, leading, and strengthening child care systems. She has overseen multi-site operations, supported teams, developed programs, and worked through the real-life complexities of licensing, funding, and long-term sustainability. Her work is rooted in hands-on experience, understanding both the day-to-day realities and the bigger picture needed to create something that truly works.

Over the years, Amber’s work has naturally grown into a more systems-focused approach. She has collaborated with government, health authorities, school districts, and national organizations, contributing to larger initiatives that support families across Canada. She is especially passionate about improving access to child care, building strong networks, and finding practical, realistic solutions to complex challenges.

Through her consulting work, Amber partners with small business owners and child care operators in a way that feels supportive, clear, and grounded. She has a natural ability to take big ideas, sometimes messy or overwhelming ones, and help shape them into something clear, structured, and achievable. Whether she is developing new child care programs, supporting business operations, or mentoring emerging entrepreneurs, her focus is always on helping people move forward with confidence.

At the heart of everything Amber does is her role as a mother of two young adults. That lived experience brings a deeper understanding of what families are balancing every day, and why it matters to build systems and supports that actually fit into real life. She brings empathy, honesty, and a practical lens to every project she takes on.

Amber is passionate about building strong communities through accessible, high-quality child care and resilient small businesses. She believes in relationships first, thoughtful problem solving, and creating solutions that don’t just look good on paper, but truly work in everyday life.

She works alongside her clients as part of their team, helping turn ideas into clear, workable paths forward.
